If you were using it with a "Blaze" database then I can certainly empathize. I did some testing of Power Objects and found that it was pretty good when accessing a remote server, but terrible when using a local Blaze database. Just today, somebody told me that V2.0 was in beta and it uses the new Oracle Lite db rather than Blaze. That should help.
