I have create quite a number of Blaze databases and have never seen this error a couple of questions and please don't be offended if they sound a little simple:

Q1. Are you creating a blaze database on your local drive using the create blaze database option?

Q2. Are you using the format Blaze:c:\directoryname\data.blz in the connect string of your session?

Q3. What platform are you working on (Mac or Win3.1).
