BASIC PURPOSE: This is a highly technical programming and analysis position which requires skill in design and development , user community and system support , and analysis of system performance with attention to detail and quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serve as team member in the design, development, testing, support and documentation of Scopus Problem/Defect Tracking project.

2. User community: The Project supports a highly motivated, technical user community consisting of the Autodesk Product Support, Software Engineering, and Software Quality Assurance organizations. Secondary user organizations include Autodesk customers, vendors, beta test participants, and contract workers.

3. Development: Design, evaluate, test, document and implement specific system configurations as are provided and prioritized by the Scopus Implementation Team using TcL, Oracle database tools (PLSQL, SQL LOADER, SQL), UNIX system utilities and scripting languages, Microsoft Access, and other tools as required. PERL and HTML experience a plus

4. User support: Monitor and document Scopus system performance, user interaction, and application behavior using Scopus ProTeam, EMAIL, UNIX utilities, Oracle SQL*NET and PLSQL, Remedy, and direct user input to determine areas of concern. Develop recommendations for system enhancements, user training, and documentation in order to eliminate problem areas. Provide training, documentation and assistance to the user community.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Development of consistent work methodologies including regular documentation of programming tasks including appropriately commented code, system housekeeping duties as required, and consistent communication to other team members.

2. Increase personal contributions to Applications Services by cross training with other members of Applications Services as needed.

3. Set and achieve goals for technical and personal growth.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Education and Training:
4 year degree in Engineering, RDMS, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Working knowledge of systems analysis procedures. Working knowledge of Oracle 7.x RDMS, SQL and PLSQL, SQL*NET, SQL*LOADER. UNIX (HP-UX 9.x and above), VI editor.
Microsoft operating systems - MS/DOS, Windows 3.1x, NT, and Win95. Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word and Excel as required for various projects.
Strong communication, writing, and editing skills needed to transfer information to individuals involved in the development process.

Type Equipment Used:
PC and various software languages.
Work Experience:
5-7 years experience in development environment. Other: TcL, Perl, HTML experience a plus.
