This week's (Feb 5) InfoWorld has a review of 4 different products: ERwin, Bachman's, S-designor, and Vivid Clarity.

Clarity is the cheapest at $495, but that's still a good distance from

the shareware rate

There has also been an article in Database Magazine and
Datamation.....

We are using S-Designor and Infomodeler without problems. We have used
S-Designor with Oracle 7.*, MS-Access, Paradox/Win, DB2-400 and AS-400
native. This all without any problems and to our :-)
