One thing you should be careful of - in Release 1.2 of Developer/2000, there is a bug in the ORAFFI functions. These calls are used in the hint.pll library to implement the balloon hints (actual code is in the hint.dll file). You will either need to patch the hint.pll library that Oracle ships with Developer/2000 (I've done this, but it's not recommended) or wait until release 1.3 where the bug is fixed.

This hurt us because we have been using the hint.pll since release 1.0 without too many problems (balloons also stay on top of EVERYTHING - alt-tabbing to another application leaves the balloon still showing). Received on Thu Feb 08 1996 - 00:00:00 CET
