Hello You,

we have 2 hp-ux- boxes and 1 DEC-Vax. These machines are connected with SQL*Net V1.
I have a problem with the number of active connections between an oracle-instance on a unix (hp-ux) and an instance on a VAX (VMS).

On the DEC i tried to change the default number (16) to 25 by changing the following parameters in:

CONFIG.ORA:

SQLNET TCPSRV_MAXCON = 25 the call to tcpsrv in the file TCPCTL.COM is:

$ run tcpsrv -

/detach -
/proc = 'SRVNAME' -
/input = nl: -
/output = nl: -
/error = nl: -
/subp = 25 -
/file = 1000 -
/io_buf = 150 -
/io_dir = 150 -
/work = 1024 -
/maximum_work = 2048 -
/ext = 2048 -
/priority = 4 -
/queue_limit = 64 -
/buffer_limit = 150000 -
/page = 200000

, but the maximum of active connections remains 16.

The output from TCPCTL STAT IS:

TCPUTL: listener is RUNNING; status summary follows:

  Started : 07-FEB-96 00:37:53
  Last connection : 07-FEB-96 12:50:45
  Active connections : YES (12)
  ORACLE SIDs : S
  Logging level : NORMAL
  KEEPALIVE option : ON
  Proxy logins : NO
  Accounting : DISABLED
  Version number : 1.2.9.6

Anybody knows a solution of this problem?

Many thanks

gio
