Default Button in Forms4.5

Does the DEFAULT BUTTON property do anything?? I have 3 buttons in a block. I mark the second DEFAULT BUTTON = True. When I run the form, the first button (sequentially in the object navaigator comes up as the default button. If I move the one I marked as DEFAULT to the top of the list of items for the block, it comes up as the default.
Shouldn't the DEFAULT BUTTON property do this??
