Hello,
I have an Oracle 7.0 application that needs to be called by inetd but I don't want to put ORACLE_SID and ORACLE_HOME environment variables in /etc/profile. I would rather use my own configuration file (because other information needs to be available at run time). The application is written in PRO*C 1.5
THe first thing that came to my mind is to use OCI OLON function to logon in Oracle then carry out my work with standard PRO*C. Apparently there is no way to specify the DB you want to connect to.
Must I really set these Oracle environment system wide?? HELP !!!!!
