FWIW
Access/ODBC will need to see a Primary Key constraint on the
table to allow updates. It does this via a DBA view called
ALL_CONSTRAINTS
Most other, (if not all), oracle applications will ignore this view.
You can simply not allow them read access to this table.
Try denying permission to everyone and see if it affects any of your
other applications, if so you will have to be selective.
