You do not need SQL*Net to connect to SQL/Server. This product serves to make remote oracle databases appear local to a client regardless of location. The fastest and best connection to sql/server is direct tcp/ip. If you are trying to connect to an Oracle and SQL/Server then you can simply use both access methods since SQL*Net operates over tcp/ip as well. Received on Wed Jan 17 1996 - 00:00:00 CET
