Hi,
I have spent a day reading the archives on this problem, but havn't had much luck getting odbc to work.
- Installed win95
- Installed new personal oracle 7 for win95
- sqlplus to Solaris box works fine, proving that my tcp/ip and sqlnet is fine.
- copied old ODBC 16 bit drivers in d:\windows\system sqora71.dll sqoras71.dll
- editted my odbc.ini and odbcinst.ini file, correctly, I think
- fire up ODBC administrator and add a data source to oracle 71
- fire up Oracle ODBC test
- hit connect and get the error message:
SQLSTATE: IM003 Native Error Code:0 Driver Message:[Microsoft][ODBC DLL] Specified driver could not be loaded
* I try doing the 32 bit ODBC via the control panel, select
Oracle71, hit add, and get this: The Setup routines for Oracle 71 ODBC driver could not be found. Please reinstall the driver.
Since this is such a pain, I think I'm going to find another tool that can do reverse engineering direct to Oracle via SQL/NET without ODBC!
Thanks for any comments or help !
david
