Snapshot Problem

We are having a problem with refreshing one of our snapshots using the FAST refresh. Its seems that somehow the snapshot log has an 'invalid ROWID' in it
& I don't have a clue how that could have happened unless maybe someone had
deleted the parent table & recreated it without deleting the log. To my knowledge this has not happenend.

We have tried dropping the log & recreating it then dropping the snapshot & recreating it & the problem still occurs. The following is the message that appears in the alert log & snapshot trace file:

Errors in file /u01/home/dba/oracle/admin/PA/bdump/snp0_11648.trc:

ORA-12012: error on auto execute of job 304
ORA-01410: invalid ROWID
ORA-02063: preceding line from P
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SNAPSHOT", line 254
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_IREFRESH", line 412
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_REFRESH", line 171
ORA-06512: at line 1

This message appears multiple times within the log. Even though this error occurs the job is never marked as BROKEN & it keeps trying to process the refresh forever. The only way we can kill it is to manually mark the job as BROKEN. The parent tables & snapshot logs reside on an Oracle 7.2.2 database running Solaris 2.4 & the snapshots are on an Oracle 7.1.6 database running AIX 4.1

I've called Oracle but haven't heard back yet. Was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem or would have any suggestions as to why this occurs
& how possibly to fix it.

Thanks in advance,
