Design Data Systems is a developer of client/server business applications for mid to large companies. Developed using the latest ORACLE 2000 series of windows-based tools, Design Data's product suite includes Financials, Distribution, Project Management and Sales Force Automation software. DDS applications run on all major platforms including Windows, NT, Novell, UNIX, OS/2 and VMS.
Headquartered in beautiful Tampa Bay, Florida, DDS has regional offices in San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, and New York. The following permanent career opportunities are currently available in Tampa Bay as well as regionally:
(6) Senior Applications Programmers-
Seeking Application experts with 5-7 years experience to lead custom projects, consulting and development on new accounts. Individuals should have programming experience in the following application areas: Distribution, Job Costing, Accounting, ORACLE Forms 3/4x, ORACLE 6/7, PL/SQL, and Windows. Knowledge of various Operating Systems a plus: Novell, UNIX, Windows NT.
(2) Oracle Tech Specialist- Responsible for troubleshooting customer
problems related to applications and Oracle product. Duties to include
customer support for Oracle Developer 2000, Oracle 7 RDBMS, accounting and
distribution applications. Will deal with trapping code and system errors,
various configuration and installation problems, source code fixes and
maintenance releases.
(2) System Administrators/Oracle DBAs- Seeking individuals with proven
database, communications and network experience to support multiple
operating system environments including Unix, Netware, NT and TCP/IP.
Individuals will install and support client/server applications
world-wide. Oracle 6/7, Internet, SQL, Oracle Tools a plus. Must be
willing to travel approximately 50% of the month.
(2) Project Managers- Sr. Applications Designers/Developers who have
experience managing projects. Must have Accounting/Distribution
applications experience, SQL/Oracle is a plus. Must be willing to travel
approximately 50% of the month.
(1) Consulting Manager- Responsible for managing several projects
throughout the United States. Prefer Big 6 experience. Must have
experience in the following application areas: Financials, Distribution
and/or Project Accounting. Must have full life cycle knowledge and have
recent technical experience with design, specifications and customer
requirements. Experience managing Oracle projects is a plus. Must be
willing to travel.
(1) Quality Control Specialist- An individual who has experience analyzing
accounting business applications, developing test plans and verifying
functionality to specifications. Must work closely with Developers to
verify system acceptance. Windows experience is a must.
(2) Part-Time Telemarketers- Seeking individuals who are enthusiastic and
have good telephone voices. The position requires gathering specific
information relating to the company's financial software applications as
well as participating in on-going marketing campaigns. Hours are flexible
between the hours of 8:30 & 5:30. Part-time consists of 20 hours per
week.
