NYC Oracle DBA Financial Services

I am currently working with Financial Services client in NYC on a position for an Oracle DBA. Candidate will be be responsible for various applications using Oracle 7.0 on a Sun Sparc platform. Environment is mid-sized and will require the Administrator to perform a hands-on role as well as working with various business units. All interested candidates must possess the following skills:

· 3+ yrs experience as a Database Administrator. Demonstrable experience   with Oracle.
· Experience with Sun platform is important. · Must know how to install Oracle 7, build the database, manage disk   space, manage users and resources, maintain security, backup and   recovery.
· Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively   with both Senior Management and end-users.
