I'll take this one...
I started working with Oracle V2 on a PDP 11/70 (I swear it true!), in 1982. I've mostly worked with it on Vaxes. I think asking if it's a real product is like asking if an aircraft carrier is a real boat. It runs on more platforms and more networks than any other RDBMS, and can handle *anything* up to and including 30+ gig databases, unlimited table sizes, concurrent users, distributed databases and lots more. Foxpro may be easy for small single purpose systems, but Oracle is able to handle truly huge databases and transaction loads. ed Received on Fri Dec 29 1995 - 00:00:00 CET
