Hi,
In general, I would use Pro*C for very large operations(gigabytes) of data because I could then commit transactions at whatever level I wish and can keep track of how much has been committed so that in the event of a failure of any kind, I could restart the process from the point at which it failed rather then aborting the transaction and resubmitting the entire transaction again.
