I am shopping for an HP workstation to act as an Oracle database server. I will be testing Win95' and NT client applications running against the HP Oracle server. I will use a very simple Ethernet configuration (coax or stp?).

I'd like to hear from you if you have had good / bad experiences with your HP server / workstation and Oracle. I am looking at running 7.1.6 and 7.2.x, and want to make sure I avoid some of the problems I've had on other Oracle platforms (i.e. ORA-600 on 7.1.4 / AIX when using RAW devices on an RS6000 C-10, or ORA-4031 during large data loads on DEC UNIX). I've always come up with work - arounds, but hope and guess that HP is one of Oracle's best platforms.
