Rich do not NFS mount Oracle datafiles. I believe if you call oracle you will be told that this is not supported. I am not a unix "expert" but I believe that an application like Oracle cannot guarentee that a write has taken place for an NFS mounted file system. A unix "sync" call will not guarentee the write ...
