I work for Oracle and am not in the financials apps group but are you sure it isn't just a packaging issue? That we don't just ship you ALL the stuff we build and just charge you for the GL? Our apps are fairly complex and powerful and it may have been that it was easier for everyone concerned to make sure that all the pieces are 'online'. If you find otherwise please repost and please call your sales rep to get more information.
