Delaying login until database starts up

Hello,

Is it possible to delay issuing a login prompt to the HFT on boot up until an instance of an Oracle database is started. Or for that matter, any program that must be running before a user logs in. I'm running AIX 3.2.5 on IBM/RS6000/380's.
