Re-linking Oracle Forms 4.5 with User Exits on HP-UX 10.0

I've issued the recommended make command:

make -f sqlforms45.mk f45runmx EXITS="<path>ue_xtb.o <path>exit.o"

which generates a long list of unsatisfied symbols and an error code upon exit.

The linker this finds is:

/usr/ccs/bin/ld

I'm wondering if anyone has run into this problem before and if so, if there's an easy resolution to it?
