You have to copy the LOV value to a control block item. The block that does the query copies the control block data to the item that controls the query ('copy value from' in the Property sheet) and the query works. Forms won't let you populate the item from the LOV and then query: it clears the block first and, if you have data in the block, asks you if you want to commit the changes. Saying Yes puts a record in the table; saying No dumps the data and queries (full table, with out any query conditions). You *HAVE* to do this indirectly...
