My general experience is that the people in the RDBMS group are pretty knowledgeable and usually give me good advice although it usually takes a long time to get it. The languages group a little less so, and the tools group, forget it. All my language calls are about Pro*C and my tools calls are always about Forms. What almost always happens when I call with a Forms problem is I describe the problem to the support rep who promises to find out and call me back. In the mean time, I end up solving the problem myself. Since I don't want to wait on hold forever to tell them the solution I found, I usually post it to the Oracle Support Forum on Compuserve.

But they're always concerned and courteous.
