Chris,

Oracle has a product called 'Oracle Workgroup/2000'. This is essentially the Oracle7 server and some tools for platforms like Windows NT (3.5 & 3.51), SCO, Netware, etc. etc. Currently production on NT is 7.2.2.4 of the Oracle7 server.

There is also an 'enterprise' edition of the server for NT. The difference between the two is that the workgroup edition does not have all the server 'options'. Such as Parallel Server, Parallel Query, Distributed Option, Spatial data Option, Text Option with Context etc etc...

So, if you want parallel server or some other option then you'll need the 'Enterprise' edition - otherwise - the Workgroup/2000 edition will do exactly the same job.

oh, by the way, you can download a free trial version from //www.oracle.com/ of the workgroup/2000 product for NT!!

Regards,
 Peter.
