I am looking for suggestions on how to learn Oracle (PC 7.* especially) on my own, if possible. Which books are suggested, what would I have to know before tackling Oracle? I learned Basic, Cobol and Fortran years ago but am not proficient anymore. Would it make sense to learn some database program like Foxpro first? Would C or C++ be necessary first?
