Check out the books from the Oracle Press (available at most Crowns or Borders). I highly recommend:

ORACLE: A Beginner's Guide by Michael Abley and Michael Corey

followed by:

ORACLE: The Complete Reference by George Kock and Kevin Loney

Great books from which you can learn a lot.
