We did the evaluation at the start of the year and included ECO from compuware. It turned out the ECO was the only one that the manufacturer could manage to get running on-site. We have been working with it for about a year now and although it does have flaws, I have managed to create a wrap around to the monitoring engine allowing 24*7 unattended monitoring utilising paging, emailing and on-screen alert. This has added flexibilty in that it also allows for us to take down a system transparently to the monitor (i.e. it controls it's own monitoring).

In the new version of ECO (3.1) most of this is built into the product and I have heard good reports from a number of sites.

Most of the reference calls I have taken have been comparing Patrol and ECO and all bar one have gone for ECO due to the support structure and forward looking nature of the product... Hope this helps...
