Can anyone tell me if it is possible to ascertain the number of rows in a cursor on opening ?
I wish to devise some sort of progress bar or messge to inform the user about the progress of a cursor controlled process in a procedure. Ideally I would like to know I was on row 2 of 10 or 6 of 10 etc. So the 10 would be the number of rows in the cursor.
If anyone has another relatively elegant solution to this I would be glad to here it.
