Creating CD-ROM based tablespaces

I need to create tables containing lookup data that will be updated every quarter.
I would like to create these on CD-ROM for easy distribution.
I'm familiar with the read-only feature of Oracle and would like to know if anyone has used it to build CD based tablespaces.
If so, generally how is it done?
