Oracle error 604?

I'm getting Oracle error 604 (error at recursive SQL level) when trying to build tables. The commands being sent to Oracle for execution look just fine, so I don't think syntax errors are the problem. Could someone please suggest the likely cause of this error, and perhaps a way to fix it?
