I was told that VMS was recently moved to Tier-two. If I'm wrong I stand corrected.

Oracle started moving off VMS back in 1990. They went to Sequent
and SUN for primary development as far as I know. Like any
company they could not change overnight.

Again this is not what I'm hearing. VMS will be behind Unix and about the same time as NT. You may have better sources than I do though. I just pick up the gossip off CompuServe and the Internet. Anyway it all comes down to money. VMS is a large installed base and will be around for a long time but it is a shrinking install base. VMS is a cash cow that is being harvested. Lets just say we agree to disagree.
