Hi,
I was having trouble getting SQL*Net V2.1 running on my HP 9000 with Oracle 7.1.3, and accessing it from a PC, but after several postings in this group I found solutions to the problem. You'll find the 2 things which solved my problems in my posting of "ERROR: ORA-01034: ORACLE not available " and an explation of some of the symptoms of the problem in my posting of "SQL*NET V2 ORA-12203 and ORA-12500 errors, or, does SQL*NET V2 really work ? "
