Same here. My experience is with ReportWriter. I complained that a SunOS report took 15secs and 6min for the Windoze converted version, they seemed indifferent and very matter of fact that this was the norm. :-( After tweeking, installing the newest bug fix, the performance time was almost halved - which is still not exceptable.

A support person here in Canada told me they run ReportWriter v2.5.x with a minimum Pentium 100 with 32megs.

I took a Oracle ReportWriter course and they used *simple* selects and boilerplates. The computers were 486dx2-66 with 24megs. No wonder the expectations for the tools are high.
