Accessing PO7 for Win95 from Developer 2000 does not require SQLNET. There are two possible erros that come to mind. First be sure that your connect string is 2: If Froms doesn't resolve the databse connection as being local it will attempt to look for a network database SID to match. To do this it first tries to load SQLNET rsulting in the error you describe. An alternat eerror mode may have resulted from you rinstalling the database first. When you install the WIn95 database it checks for existing 16 bit Oracle apps. If it finds them then it loads a set of 16 bit upgrade dlls to allow them to commuinicate with the 32 bit WIN95 database. You shouldn't have to reinstall the database if this is the problem. Simply look for the ORA16UPD directory of the Install set and copy the contents to the ORAWIN95\BIN directory.

Hope this helps. Received on Tue Oct 10 1995 - 00:00:00 CET
