Running Oracle V 7.1.6.2 & have SQL*Net V2 installed and configured with a default domain of xxx.yyy and a database called DBAS. From what I've read about SQL*Net V2 I should be able to specify the database connect string as DBAS, but I have to specify it as DBAS.xxx.yyy. The names.default_domain and name.default_zone tags in sqlnet.ora are both set to xxx.yyy. What gives? I'm running Oracle 7 on an IBM RS/6000 AIX 3.2.5 system.
