V7.1.4.1.10 is certified for HP-UX 10.0. However, that was the first release certified for HP-UX 10.0, so your suggestion to upgrade is worth considering. I believe that the latest 7.1 release is 7.1.6. But 7.2.2.3.0 is shipping also so he may want to look at that unless he is using CDE Tools since Oracle has not certified the CDE PROD3+ release against 7.2 for HP-UX yet..
