Probably not. Some of the government contracting jobs are out in left field. They think there is no difference between foxbase and oracle. Funny or sad, depending on whether it directly affects you. Hell, I took one of those jobs when I was desperate. Then I tripled my salary when I left to do the exact same work elsewhere as a commercial contractor. Everyone there got at least 50% more when they left. It can be worth it if you need to "put in your time" or if the working conditions are like being retired... They later replaced the contractors with a GS guy, I saw his plaintive pleas for assistance on C$erve, he didn't know anything about Oracle or unix, he wanted to replace it all with pc based stuff...

What blows me away is that it was considered a high-cost area, so the pay was higher than most other government contracting places.
