Performance problem SQL*Net v2 and DNS

Hi

Well I finally decided to switch to SQL*Net v2 and after correcting the errors the Network Manager made in the configuration files everything was OK on the servers - BUT not on the clients, connecting took 1.5 mins.

The setup: Clients are WfW PC's , and to locate servers we use a DNS (domain name server) service. Network is TCP/IP (winsock), and working OK (I have verified this using ping and ftp).

I change the setupfiles to use the IP address then everything is OK, but I don't want to do that, so the quesion is:

Has anybody else had this expirence ??

Any hints as to what I should do (I must use the DNS)
