We are runnig ORACLE 7.0 on Solaris 2.3. We want to increase Shared_Pool_Size from 8 MB to 16MB.
In ORACLE installation manaul, it said that the maximum single shared memory segment is 8 MB for Solaris 2.2, and Shared_Pool_Size should not exceeds this limit. Is this true for Solaris 2.3 as well? Can I set SHMMAX parameter to more than 8 MB?
(We lost our Unix Administration Manual, or someone took it to somewhere.)
Thanks in advance.
