Newbie questions

Hello everyone,

I am new to oracle and trying to interface with an existing oracle application.

Quest 1) Is it possible to change the wildcard search character from % to * in oracle searches.?

Quest 2) Is there a way to start an oracle forms thru' a 'C' program and feed input thru' 'C' , as if a user is entering data. (have to interface to existing oracle apps , don't have access to source). ?
