I am in much the same position as you, an Oracle beginner.

There is an excellent list of Publications available in the Libraries section of the IOUG on CompuServe. It contains some good references.

This is a little off the subject but have you looked at Omnis7 as a cross platform (inc PowerMac Native) development tool.
