nope...unless you have a need to restore to a particular point in time in the past. If all you want is to be able to recover up to the point of the db crash and media failure, all you need is the latest hot backups of your database (or just of the data file that was trashed if you are that's the only file you lost) and the archive logs needed to roll forward to the present.
