Joe,

I'm a newcomer to Solaris from the RS/6000 world and I've been unimpressed so far. I installed V7.1.6.2 on Solaris V2.4 and am getting several problems. The most serious one is where all Pro*C pgms die with Segmentation faults on the first SQL stmt, including the Oracle pro*c demo pgms. Also my SQL*DBA chokes frequently on above-average query volumes. Plus I often get TNS:packet write failure or something like that.
