- Sorry, behind the times - I cant imagine what you mean.
-
- Let me guess, every company who has users using Terminals ( a few I think ) should convert to FORMS 4 for ? benefits (other
- than support - which should really exist for FORMS 3).
-
- All that money and time for WHAT BENEFITS ? ? ?

- Your comments may be appreciated.

Amen! Not every company can afford to upgrade all their software every time a new version comes out. Not to mention the hardware upgrades needed to run much of todays Windows Apps. We have over 75 PCs in house (most of which are 386s with only 4MB of memory). Our budget only allows us to upgrade 3 machines a quarter - you do the math on when Everyone can be 'with the times'. We are currently in the process of performing these upgrades but it is a SLOW process. In the mean time, FORM 3 runs rather efficiently on these 'low-end' DOS machines.
I won't even mention the time and cost of redeveloping our almost 200 forms!!! (We are a computer staff of 2!!). Oops, I guess I just did.

P.S. ORACLE is only 1 of many apps which is running in our office. Got to keep up with all of them!!! ;) Received on Fri Jul 21 1995 - 00:00:00 CEST
