Platinum Technologies produce some EXCELLENT tools for doing a variety of database administration. A quick overview:

1.) UniVision - Do performance monitoring (both real/time and archival) of both UNIX and Oracle, Sybase, Informix, etc.
2.) TSReorg - Fixes fragmentation on Oracle
3.) AutoSys - Job scheduling on UNIX and Oracle, etc.
4.) SQL Coder - Let's you build SQL code, stored procedures, etc., without actually being online. Pre-check syntax, etc.
5.) DesktopDBA - Let's you do alot of database management and admin from your Windows machine.

They are located in Oak Brook, Illinois here in the states. Call Steve Brown at (708) 620-5000. Fax (708) 691-0707.
