I sympathize highly with this, but I'm not sure that the people who post most of those ads will follow the rules and post them only to a 'jobs' or 'marketplace' subgroup. Their goal is to reach as many potential victims as possible, and they really don't give a damn who they annoy.

Just to update folks on this, Tony Jambu and I are working on gathering some accurate statistics on the volume of posts and the frequency of various topics. I though I had this data on my office system, but that system must not be getting all the posts. Tony will be sending me some data which I hope to have analyzed by late next week. (I have another project which will keep me from working on this over the weekend.)

Several weeks ago I posted that volume was running 65 posts/day. I now think that was based on inaccurate data. I'll have the real goods in a week or two, but my 'gut feeling' is that volume is now over 100 posts/day, because it seems like I'm seeing 30-40 new posts every time I log in to read news on this system, which I do around 3 times/day, including weekends. (OK, I'm a news junkie!)
