A question from an Oracle newbie: I am interested in the availability of tools for accessing an Oracle 7 database on an HP9000 machine. I am developing programs in a CASE tool and want to browse Oracle tables to verify processing results as well as update tables to create test conditions. Currently the only resource I have for this is SQL*Plus. Typing queries for this purpose can be very tedious. Can anyone recommend any tools that run on the HP (i.e. a UNIX-based tool) that has a better interface than SQL*Plus. I know there are client-server solutions to this problem, but my workstation is an OS/2 workstation and I only have SQL*Net v2.0 available at this time. My DBA hasn’t come up with the new configuration files required for this version of SQL*Net. I figure it would be much simpler to use something that actually runs on the HP9000 like SQL*Plus does instead. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
