Try putting your driving tables last, i.e:

   ... from table5, table4, table3, table2, table1

Also, check if statustics are available fro the table, they might be outdated and need refreshing.

also, try changeing your sub-query to an "exists" condition, using the "in" clause can really slow down performance.
