Re: Creating new database on NT server

well i have gotten a bit further, it seems that nt services must be loaded for oracle 7.1 nt
i installed ras only. i can start the instance, no problem, connect internal no problem, bu then i try to mount, startup etc using database name oracle and enter parameter file e:\orant\rdbms71\init.ora i get an error like cannot identfile 1 sysorcl.ora - file not found it cannot find any of the ora files (data files) all i have done is install oracle.  

is there something that i am missing? please help possibly a variable of some sort
