Hi!

If you want to keep your 230meg rollback segment for special use, and prevent other users from grabbing it at random...keep that rollback segment OFFLINE. Before you start your job, bring it online, and SET TRANSACTION...when your transaction completes, take it OFFLINE again. It has been suggested that for performance & reduced contention, that rollbacks be of a consistent size, so I would'nt leave that XTRA large rollback online all the time. / Sandra Fergusson Received on Sun Jun 11 1995 - 00:00:00 CEST
